strong-eH app for iPhone and iPad

The ‘strong-eH’ application is a hypertension surveillance resource for both an individual with hypertension, and the treating medical staff involved in their care. The ‘strong-eH’ application extends the vision of medical staff on how a hypertensive patient is managing their health journey.

Once the application is downloaded onto the individual’s smartphone, the smartphone can allow for data capture (such as blood pressure readings) and providing educational multimedia content (such as links to educational materials regarding cardiovascular disease and hypertension). The blood pressure readings are then uploaded to a clinic facing portal for approved medical staff to view. The ‘strong-eH’ application provides visual (graphical) and textual reports on entered data and the entries on the App automatically update to a clinic facing web portal. The web-portal is password protected and enables all healthcare practitioners providing care to view the participant’s progress to provide early care intervention dependent on the advice of the clinical review. Data can also be reviewed by the healthcare practitioners during clinic appointments to aid in discussions with patients.

‘strong-eH’ integrates a smartphone App, clinic facing portal, measurement devices (Bluetooth blood pressure device) and multimedia content to support patients with hypertension throughout the diagnosis and management journey.
